Celebrate 30 years of MR-G, the pinnacle of the G-SHOCK brand — Immerse yourself in the exquisite beauty of an original artwork by international metal leaf artist Hiroto Rakusho. Drawing on Rakusho's distinctive metal leaf artistry in Haruka, his original artwork specially created for this limited-edition timepiece, the MRG-B2100HR brings to life the timeless strength and beauty at the heart of MR-G.
The dial is finished in platinum leaf using traditional metal leaf techniques to evoke the enduring essence of MR-G in a timeless brilliance. Simultaneously bold and delicate, Rakusho's intricate work delivers the subtle shimmer of powdered platinum leaf and blurring of dark and light tones with an expressive freedom that only the most skilled and sensitive metal leaf artist can bring to life. Every step of the foil stamping is carried out by hand, with Rakusho personally applying the meticulous finishing touches that give each watch a one-of-a-kind brilliance worthy of a limited-edition timepiece.
For the bezel and bracelet, a unique structural color technique is employed to create a foil stamped texture that exudes the shimmering world of Rakusho's artwork. An ultrashort-pulse laser forms microscopic textures on the bezel and bracelet surfaces to create a beautiful, ever-changing color effect that shifts depending on the viewing angle.
The design begins with the MRG-B2100, symbolizing both the origins and evolution of MR-G. Its exterior is crafted with COBARION, DAT55G, Ti64 titanium, and other high-performance materials, combining strength with a luxe feel. Each bezel component is meticulously polished individually and incorporated into the Casio Multi-Guard Structure to deliver not just beauty, but also shock resistance that protects the watch's complex and intricate design. The case back is engraved with the “MR-G 30TH” logo and a serial number. Limited to 800 pieces worldwide.
