Co-creating with AI to break new ground in toughness-driven design: Original new structure incorporating a frame made with a combination of materials

AI-assisted development process
AI was used to analyze and simulate base designs created by human designers. Drawing on the extensive data on shock-resistant structures in the G-SHOCK world, optimized 3D prototypes were generated to meet specified structural strength and material property requirements. These prototypes were further refined via repeated manual adjustments, achieving unique forms that seamlessly combine functionality and beauty

Multi-layered carbon frame design for a side view exuding strength and beauty

The frame is cut out from a base material consisting of laminated carbon and glass fiber sheets to create its intricate, dimensional form. The beautiful layered patterns created by the pair of different materials are incorporated as a design feature. Configured to interlock with the bezel, side buttons, and case back, it offers a beautiful side view accentuating the combination of materials.

*The exact pattern on the bezel will vary by watch due to the characteristics of the moulding technique, which mixes carbon fibers, resin, and other materials.

Meticulous metal finishing for a solid luster

Sallaz polishing is applied to certain mirror-polished surfaces to create smooth, beautiful, distortion-free finishes. Separate hairline and mirror finishes applied to individual components accentuate the beauty of the metal with looks of luxe refinement.

Metal injection moulding (MIM), a method of metal processing in which fine metal powder is injected into molds, is used to create the intricate dimensional case back.
Newly developed blue-gray IP is applied to the MTG-B4000B.

Multi-layer dial projecting sophisticated refinement

The design incorporating three-dimensional arrangements of components, including a slanted dial ring set off with large, boldly raised indexes, gives the watch an impressive sense of depth. Phosphorescent finish and metallic vapor deposition are applied to the sharp, multifaceted forms of the indexes. Achieved with the fine processing technologies of Yamagata Casio, the intricate forms of the components accent the watch with sophisticated textural appeal down to the finest details.

TRIPLE G RESIST: Passion for delivering further strength

The updated MT-G Dual Core Guard structure protects the carbon fiber-reinforced resin inner case with metal components, delivering high strength and weight reduction at the same time. The innovative construction meets stringent G-SHOCK standards, providing protection from shock, centrifugal force, and vibration with Triple G Resist technology.
